Scottish VRS honoured by the Queen of England
nWise are proud to announce that our contact person at contactSCOTLAND, Irene Bruce, has been listed on the New Year’s Honours list. This list is a part of the British honours system where new members of orders of chivalry and other official honours are named. This awards is presented by or in the name of the Queen and is for the MMX based VRS service contactSCOTLAND.
The award recognizes people that has committed themselves to serving and helping Britain or made achievements in public life. Usually it’s concerning improving life for others or that they are outstanding at what they do.
Irene Bruce, assisted communications manager at the Scottish Government’s Population Health Improvement Directorate, is being honored for services to the improvement of access to public services contactSOCTLAND, Scotland’s British Sign Language Interpreting Video Relay Service that enables contact with all of Scotland’s public bodies and third sector organisations.
