Accessibility is increasingly important

Accessibility is the keyword for the paradigm shift that’s currently taking place in the health care in Sweden as well as globally. The digitalization is only one tool to help us get there. All people, no matter their disability, have the right to equal health care. That’s why it’s nWise’s mission to provide the Swedish health care system with platforms of availability to achieve total communication.

Since about a decennium ago, the availability platform MMX has been providing nation after nation with the technology to put together emergency services, patrolling police and health care professionals with interpreters – enabling anyone with a disability to make an emergency call.

The platform adapts to the company or organisation in question’s needs and services as well as always making sure the patient’s need for constant accessibility is always in focus. That means the technology needs to be accessible physically but also easy to understand for everyone, no matter their disability. nWise is world leading in the standard of total conversation and therefore also in total communication between patient and care giver.

Both Swedish and international studies show that MMX with total conversation creates safety and autonomy for patients, financial savings for the health care industry and smarter use of health care resources.

– I’m most proud that our technology has contributed to better treatment results so that patients can focus on more meaningful activities, says Jennie Gehlin, certified occupational therapist and product manager at nWise.

Together with MMX Care, health care systems are more accessible by shortening queues effectively, without affecting the quality of care.

Both patients and care givers are seeing the benefits of total communication, and that it can be equated with a real life, personal meeting. Studies showed that some patients preferred video meetings to physical meetings.

“MMX is not ‘just a video call’, it also creates equality through language and sign language interpretation.”

“We make it easy to succeed, that’s our focus, our goal! To get there we need advanced technology that no one sees. It’s also cool to know how much lies behind the things that look so easy once it ends up in the hands of a patient or professionals at the hospital” says Jennie Gehlin.

nWise works with helping all people to access functional and equal health care. That’s why language, sign and text interpretation are in all their solutions.
